Domenico Ferraro of Arizona State University Discusses Data Centers and AI on Phoenix Business Brief Podcast

PHOENIX, AZ — October 1, 2026 — The Phoenix Business Brief Podcast announced the release of a new episode featuring Domenico Ferraro, an associate professor at Arizona State University, discussing data centers and artificial intelligence.

The episode features Domenico Ferraro, an associate professor in the Department of Economics at Arizona State University's W.P. Carey School of Business. The conversation covers the intersection of data centers and artificial intelligence, focusing on their economic implications, potential labor market disruptions, and the increasing need for electricity generation to meet the demands of data centers.

"If there is an asset, if there is value, most likely in order for us to grab this value, we need to incur a cost," Ferraro said.

The discussion is pertinent to Arizona's business landscape as the state continues to experience growth in technology sectors, particularly in data centers. Understanding the economic implications and energy demands associated with these developments is crucial for policymakers and business leaders to ensure sustainable growth and investment in infrastructure.
