University of Phoenix to host career networking webinar on September 17

The University of Phoenix announced on September 3 that it will host a webinar titled "Build the Network That Advances Your Career: Mentors, Peers & Community" on September 17, 2026, at 11 a.m. MST. The event is part of the Bridging Perspectives webinar series and is aimed at higher education leaders, employers, nonprofit organizations, faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community members. The session will focus on building professional networks and leveraging mentorships for career advancement.
Tondra Richardson, MBA, director of Engagement Strategy & Program Development at the University of Phoenix, emphasized the importance of connections in professional growth, stating, "Professional growth is often fueled by the connections we make along the way. This conversation will highlight practical ways individuals can cultivate meaningful networks, exchange knowledge, access mentorship, and help create opportunities for themselves and others."
Panelists will discuss the role of trusted networks—including peers, mentors, employee resource groups, and alumni communities—in providing support in evolving educational and workplace environments. The discussion will cover how these networks foster trust and knowledge-sharing, assisting participants in navigating unwritten workplace rules.
The webinar aims to offer practical approaches such as mentoring circles, peer check-ins, and resource exchanges that attendees can implement within their own organizations or communities.
