Model Optimal Care launched its MOC Fiduciary Intelligence (MOC-FI) platform on September 8, 2026, in Phoenix, Arizona. The new artificial intelligence tool is designed to assist self-funded health plans by analyzing their contracts and claims data, scoring them against 32 fiduciary indicators, and providing a detailed fiduciary report. The platform is accessible at fiduciaryIQ.ai.

Jude Odu, the founder of Model Optimal Care, stated, "I have spent over 25 years watching self-funded employers pay for claims they don’t fully understand. This platform was built from the ground up to provide them those answers in one afternoon session." The MOC-FI platform aims to address the significant waste in U.S. healthcare, which is estimated to exceed $1.6 trillion annually, with about 20 percent of claims containing errors.

The platform is particularly relevant as self-funded plans cover approximately 160 million Americans and about 67 percent of insured U.S. workers. A survey indicated that 65 percent of employers are increasingly concerned about fiduciary litigation, highlighting the need for better transparency in plan expenditures. MOC-FI was specifically designed for the self-funded community, utilizing a unique scoring methodology based on Odu's book, "Model Optimal Care: End U.S. Healthcare Waste, One Health Plan at a Time."

The platform evaluates the plan's documents, including contracts and claims, to establish a fiduciary score on a scale from 1 to 10. It also identifies potential savings opportunities, with one example revealing $5.23 million in savings, including $1.24 million recoverable immediately. MOC-FI is equipped to handle both ERISA and non-ERISA plans, ensuring comprehensive coverage for various plan sponsors.
