Downtown Greek Fest to Expand to Two Days in Tucson After Last Year's Success
Oct 7, 2026

The Downtown Greek Fest will return to Tucson on November 6 and 7, 2026, expanding to a two-day format at Jácome Plaza following last year's sold-out inaugural event. The festival, which celebrates Hellenic culture, has been a local tradition for over fifty years before pausing during the COVID-19 pandemic. Organizers aim to accommodate the increased demand by moving to a larger venue that quadruples the event's capacity.
Festival co-host John Rallis noted, “Last year we had to turn away approximately 2,000 people at the door.” This year’s festival will feature an expanded layout, including new attractions such as a Papou’s Kafenio for traditional coffee, kids' play stations, and enhanced dining options. Rallis emphasized that the festival's budget has also significantly increased, allowing for more extensive programming and amenities.
The event will offer a variety of Greek culinary delights, with food prepared from traditional recipes. The festival will also include live music, dance performances, and interactive dance lessons. Co-host Peter Anadranistakis highlighted the festival's commitment to family-friendly activities, stating, “Yia Yia’s House will be back again this year along with great General Admission and VIP sections.”
With the festival's return, organizers encourage attendees to purchase tickets in advance due to high interest following last year’s capacity limits. The Downtown Greek Fest is expected to draw thousands of visitors eager to experience the rich culture and community spirit that the festival embodies.
